Let’s talk about how Gilbert fights. I never wanted him to be “Good” at it. If you look at every fight I’ve portrayed so far, he’s finished it in one hit. He’s good at that. One swift power move to incapacitate his enemies, because if he’s in prolonged swordplay then things ain’t gonna go well.
This sounds like an excuse for me to not draw long elaborate sword fights, but that’s something I really want to do. I want Gilbert to be bad because then he’ll get messed up more and his immortality will be more prevalent. Maybe he’ll also use his power against the enemy, y’know? The reason he can also finish a fight in one hit is to maintain a story flow when the point isn’t to drag out an intense battle.
Just trying to build some consistency with my characters.
